The principal goal of The Female Patient is to
publish timely and practical, technical information for those physicians
providing primary health care to women. Peer-reviewed and CME accredited,
the journal presents review articles, reports, and departments
on new procedures and developments relevant to differential diagnosis,
therapy, and patient management procedures.
With a focus on conditions and problems found exclusively in women,
and on the differences in the way women present symptoms for common
conditions, articles and sections are targeted to improve patient
outcomes with the particular interests of our audience in mind.
Articles are selected for publication based on consistent input
from our Editorial Advisory Board and our readers; input that has
also resulted in expanded regular departments such as Menopausal
Health, Adolescent Gynecology, Sexuality Matters, Contraception
Update, The Cutting Edge, In the Hot Seat, Practice Guidelines,
Practice Algorithm, Literature & News, LegalEASE, and Practice
Management.
The Female Patient recognizes the importance of
targeting the particular interests of readers, and to that purpose,
publishes ONE book, targeting THREE professional markets: physicians
specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, maternal-fetal
medicine, urogynecology and reproductive endocrinology; office-based
primary care physicians with a highly active practice in female
patient care; and Nurse practitioners, self-designated in women’s
health, obstetrics and/or gynecology.
