Since February is American Heart Month, I am devoting this month’s column to prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) by emphasizing that you should “know the normal numbers—and yours!” To what numbers am I referring? They include blood pressure, lipid values, fasting blood sugar (FBS), body mass index (BMI), and waist measurement.
