Recently I have had a number of queries from patients about my future, particularly about how much longer I am going to continue the practice of medicine. The queries have been from women of all ages who, for a variety of reasons, seem to like my care. Although I have a substantial amount of grey hair to match my age, I still keep quite active clinically, including practicing obstetrics. However, I realize that I am in the latter stages of my career and will have to make a decision at some point regarding when to stop seeing patients.
