Urologic injury following vaginal birth is common. Multiparous women are at increased risk for urinary incontinence following vaginal birth.1 Cesarean delivery is thought to reduce the risk of urinary incontinence following birth, but it carries an inherent risk of iatrogenic injury to the urinary tract.
